Daily Mail tries to ban Doom 3
Oh, but we were really looking forward to that one teaching us how to kill.

The ever predictable Daily Mail has continued its polemic against video games, following yesterday’s headline of “MURDER BY PLAYSTATION” – which saw
Manhunt being pulled from most High Street store shelves.
Today’s headline is “BAN THESE EVIL GAMES”, with specific mentions for The Suffering, Hitman: Contracts, Grand Theft Auto 3, Unreal Tournament, Soldier of Fortune 2, State of Emergency and Doom 3.
The story even made it to the newspaper’s editorial, with the line “Regulation? Forget it. Clearly, it will take official action to end this poisoning of young minds.”
Hopefully this will all blow over once some new reality TV show starts up or something and the tabloid's attention is diverted, but it's not a particularly healthy environment for the likes of Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 to launch in.
