The Stig celebrates Race Driver: GRID launch
Top Gear's tame racing driver The Stig and his acolytes gave their blessing to the London launch of Codemasters' Race Driver: GRID this morning...and we've exclusive photos.
Over half a million quids' worth of automotive beauty - an Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Aston Martin DB9 Coupe, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Mercedes-Benz SLK55AMG, Range Rover Sport HST and Bentley Continental GT - brought London's Tottenham Court Road to a standstill this morning by arriving with their roaring engines outside Zavvi's flagship store.
Top Gear's The Stig and his race driving palls had come along to lend their support to the release of Race Driver: GRID. The drivers happily revved their engines for the assembled crowd. As you might expect it was The Stig that really caught everyone's attention with many vying to say hello to the mysterious magnesium-scented tame racing driver.
Inside the store, the drivers picked up their consoles and copies of the games - The Stig with an Xbox 360 Elite fanboys will notice - before roaring off in a slightly less than legal (but thrilling) fashion northwards along Tottenham Court Road.
That was the start of the celebrations as Codemasters is currently hosting the final of the European Fastest Lap challenge at the store with a real BMW 3-series up for grabs to the winner.
Race Driver: GRID is released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 today, with a DS to follow.
Look out for our review of Race Driver: GRID on Monday.

The suit and helmet is all wrong. :)
