Eidos reveals Just Cause 2
Details and screens from the sequel to one our favourite games of last year.
Eidos has announced Just Cause 2, a sequel to the open-world game first released in 2006, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The game sees the return of hero Rico Rodriquez, but he's heading to a new location - the South East Asian islands of Panau.
We're promised more stunts this time around, a large play area and more varied environments such as snowy mountains and dry sandy deserts.
Rico's parachute and grappling hook return, but both have been overhauled to enable even more dramatic stunts.
"Remember everything you loved about Just Cause, then take it to the next level: vehicles, stunts, weapons, freedom, grappling hook, action, everything," said Alex Price, Brand Manager. "The game world is even more incredible in Just Cause 2 and Rico has done a bit of growing up, so expect quite a few new surprises up his sleeves."
Just Cause 2 is set for release later in 2008.

Just as long as - between missions - I can entertain myself by jumping off every epic cliff I find, I'll be a happy man. To be honest: base-jumping was the main contributor to my play-time of JC, so I expect equal opportunities in the sequel.

And yes Adam, like you I spent a lot of my time between missions messing around with base jumping. Getting that base jumping achievement was one of my favourites on Xbox 360,
